NTT DoCoMo Develop The Green BTS System 4:49 PM,5/31/2012
This decision will ensure that the system of NTT DoCoMo BTS no outages due to cases of natural disasters, catastrophic event such as earthquake, tsunami 11 / 3 this year.

NTT DoCoMo currently has 90,000 base stations. The company will begin the project by building approximately 10 renewable energy plants in fiscal 2012.

Daisuke Sakuma, representatives of NTT DoCoMo, said, "We are planning to build green BTS station, running on the friendly energy such as bio-energy, wind or sun."

"We have not decided details such as how many base stations will operate in this way," he said, one day the company will be able to sell excess energy, although the current target we are to meet individual demands.
