Scientists from Vietnam Academy of Forest Sciences have successfully selected a natural hybrid acacia variety named AH9 through conducting the project “Selecting eucalyptus and acacia varieties with disease-resistance and high yield”.

Hybrid acacia AH9 has the main characteristics as follows: good growth, straight tree-trunk, few branches, large height of trunk under branches, immunity from pink disease, average capacity about 30m3/ha/year (suitable density 1,650 trees/ha). This variety has been successfully planted in Bien Hoa, Dong Nai and acknowledged as Technical Improvement of 2015 by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
