Through the implementation of a state-level project under the program “Research on applications and development of biotechnology”, code KC04/11-15, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Thi Thuy and colleagues from the Company for Vaccine and Biological Production No.1 have built the system of cell banks which consists of 300 tubes of master cell bank (MCB), 300 tubes of working cell bank (WCB) for producing recombinant IL-2 preparation on E.coli cell line, and built the basic standard table for the system of cell banks.

Besides, the research team has also completed the technological processes of producing the recombinant IL-2 preparation and producing the recombinant IL-2 on E.coli cell line at semi-industrial scale, built the inspection methods and standard table for the recombinant IL-2 preparation, and produced 3 batches of IL-2 at semi-industrial scale (15,000 doses/batch) with the standard of 300,000 IU/dose according to the developed technological process. The team has also checked the quality of IL-2 from the 3 batches under the 10 basic standards; all the 3 batches meet the standards of senses, residual moisture, pH, endotoxin, protein content, bioactive, sterility...
