Mr. Cao Phat Trien, a farmer lives in Thoi Xuong 1 village, Thoi Long commune, (O Mon, Can Tho city) has created an automatically irrigation system controlled by phones, and this is cutting down production cost a hundred times compares to manual working. This model also adapts to the situation of climate changing increasingly nowaday. He said that with his automatically irrigation system, he just needs to pump water to the canal once for several months because it does’t take much water. Meanwhile using mechanically or manual irrigation will be much harder in the hot sunny weather.
“The advantage of the system is that there isn’t any directly impacts on the trees. The irrigation system can help maximize elimination of harmful insects, thus allowing the fruits to have beautiful and polished shapes”. Mr. Trien convinced.
Mr. Trien said that in the past it took 5 hours and one man to irrigate and costing 140.000 VND per one time irrigation for the area of 0,8ha. If the watering was done manually, it took 2 days and costing 300.000 VND for labor. At present, he’s just controlled the phone and the garden will be irrigated in 10 minutes with the cost of 2.000 VND for the whole process and reducing the cost by 70 times compares to mechanically system and 150 times compares to manual working. The most important thing is reducing the production cost and product’s price. Moreover, it is totally active in the whole process of care, such as using grass for covering, prevent to erosion, provide enough oxygen and water for the roots… help garden to be green.
In early 2014, Mr. Trien added in an automatic fertilizer and pesticide spraying system and this new model will save chemicals and labor costs, estimated at 35 million VND per year. Installation cost of automatically irrigation system is about 50 million VND per one hecta and installation cost of chemicals spraying system is 70 million VND.
The features of the model are: automatically irrigation at anytime and anywhere, even hundreds of kilometers away but just with electromagnetic waves, controlled by smartphone via magnetic chips mounted at the frame pump system with software installed on mobile phones.
