The contest aims to promote and encourage the implementation of energy management measures to use energy economically, increase business efficiency and create a "green" and environmentally friendly economy of businesses in Vietnam.
Participating in this contest, units will have the opportunity to be consulted about efficient use of energy in enterprises, to promote the image and brand; award-winning enterprises shall be allowed to use the logo of the competition in their business activities; guided by the organizing committee to prepare documentation to participate in ASEAN energy management award.
Besides, the competition also aims to improve the competitiveness of domestic and foreign enterprises through communication and branding; propagate efficient energy management models throughout the country
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the organizing committee assigned Hanoi Energy Conservation Center and HCM City Energy Conservation Center to consult and support enterprises in submitting documentation to participate in the contest.
Previously, the competition "Energy management in industry and buildings 2010" attracted many businesses to participate. After the contest ended, 354 energy saving measures had been implemented, saved 5,000 TOE per year, equivalent to saving nearly VND 50 billion and reducing 21,000 tons of CO2 emissions.
