General Director of Binh Dien Lam Dong Fertilizer Company Nguyen Quang Hiep said every year his company renovates technologies and improves fertilizer quality to bring higher efficiency for agricultural production whether there are quality awards or not. That is a compulsory requirement of an enterprise that wants to exist and develop.
Nguyen Quang Hiep said “Over recent years, the company has invested about VND20 billion in a new production line each year. It has also set up an advisory council on fertilizer and planting techniques with participation of leading professors and doctors. As a result, over the last five years, the Binh Dien Company has been listed among the most developed 500 enterprises with 25 percent year on year growth. The revenue of the company in 2013 reached VND800 billion and this is expected to increase to VND900 billion in 2014. The most important thing is that our products are preferred by farmers.” The Binh Dien Company currently supplies fertilizer to five Central Highlands, five central southern provinces and will be exported to Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.
Sharing the same view, General Director of the Viglacera Corporation Nguyen Anh Tuan said in a context of tough competition, most of the profitable businesses in trading glasses, porcelain, bricks, tiles and burnt clay were attributed to investment in technological solutions to improve product quality and meet the market demand.
The Viglacera Corporation has established the Viglacera Research and Development Institute with total investment of VND100 billion, including an research center, a construction ceramics center, a glass and new materials center and an information technology and automation center. Of these, the research center at the institute is equipped with modern the latest equipment from Europe and Japan for research, experiments and testing construction materials such as X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction equipment (XRD), laser analysis equipment, polarization and reflection microscopes.

Deputy Director of the TH Milk Joint Stock Company Ngo Minh Hai said TH has bought all the know-how and dairy cow raising techniques used in Israel and the world’s leading production process from advanced countries. It is a closed and simultaneous production process from growing grass, building breeding facilities, processing foodstuff for cows, veterinary management and packing to product distribution to consumers.
Similarly, Traphaco Joint Stock Company that just won the GPEA is one of several enterprises that are highly rated for their scientific and technological activities. The company put a lot of financial and human resources investment in technological research and development. It has expanded collaboration with scientists and research organizations to create more efficient and preeminent products for medical treatment. At present, Traphaco’s main products like Boganic and Nootropics (brain tonic) hold leading positions in the market.
