Textile industry is considered to be one of the key economic sectors providing the high export turnover of Vietnam. Along with the textile industry, the handicraft villages are also contributing the important role to socio-economic development of the localities, especially the traditional handicraft villages.

However, many textile production facilities and factories in Vietnam are still heavily depending on manual workers leading to the low economic efficiency,  low - income of workers and a disincentive production.

Therefore, new technology solutions is required to improve and replace human labors. While measures that increase productivity and quality of textile products is urgent requirement.

Application of patents and new technology solutions to the textile industry not only solve the problem of economic development but also help to preserve and develop the traditional weaving villages as well as help to develop local economy and society sustainably.

Huy Quang Tran who was born and raised in a traditional weaving village and experienced the hardships and risks in rolling fiber manually has successfully fabricated a fiber rolling  machine. It is simply and efficiently designed including a mechanical body, 220V-electric motor and moving parts which help to roll fiber up in pirn steadly.

Fiber rolling machines are designed to be simple, compact including the mechanical body, 220V electric motor and moving parts help to roll fiber into the pirn smoothly and efficiently. In addition, this machine is manufactured from the materials and the spare parts that are available in local areas so that it is easy to install, replace and repair.

In term of the performance of the machine, this machine helps to increase productivity by up to 6 times higher than the traditional handmade while the quality is guaranteed ... so that the income of the local people is improved.

In order to meet the demand of consumers, since 2008, Quang established "Machine building machinical workshop of youth" with fully equipped machines. To date, his workshop has produced more than 3,000 machines and distributed to localities across the country. It has contributed to reduce the difficulties for the labors.

Besides the passion for research, Quang is a young party member, a dynamic union officer, and a good manufacturer as well. Sharing his secret of success in areas of the research, manufacture and social works Quang said: "The most important thing is perseverance and to take advantage of the existing advantages even it a smallest opportunity".
