Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has organized a series of seminars, exhibitions and talks under theme “The 40 years for city’s science and technology development” at HCMC Youth Cultural House on May 14- 31, marking the 40th anniversary of the southern region's liberation and the country's reunification, and the second anniversary of Vietnam Science and Technology Day (on May 18).

For the last 40 years, the city’s science and technology achievements have contributed to not only develop HCMC as one of the largest cultural, educational, training, scientific and technological centers of Vietnam but also strengthen further development of major economic zones in the southern region in particular, and all over country in general, said Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City.

Within the framework of the event, exhibition and seminars under theme of science and technology have been opened at HCMC Youth Cultural House on May 14- 22.

On display are all photos and documents about the city’s science and technology achievements such as energy saving, results of scientific research and technology development.

Joining in the exhibition, city’s institutes, universities and enterprises have a chance to introduce as well as showcase their science research achievements, inventions and initiatives.

A talk themed “Young generation actively creates in scientist research” will also be held at HCMC Youth Cultural House on May 22.
