A conference took place in Hanoi on June 24 to promote the upcoming International Techmart Vietnam 2015, which is expected to be the largest technology fair held in Vietnam in the last decade.

The four-day event will open on October 1 at the Hanoi International Centre for Exhibition on 91 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hanoi.

It will bring together businessmen, inventors and scientists while spotlighting amateur creators nationwide with their useful equipment for daily life.

IT equipment in every shape and size will be available for sale and showcase at the fair.

Addressing the conference, Le Xuan Dinh, Head of the National Agency for Science and Technology Information, stressed the Vietnamese science and technology market is young yet full of potential and has been a priority in the nation’s development agenda.

A legal framework has been put in place to sponsor and protect science and technology transaction activities, Dinh said.

The Ministry of Science and Technology has held more than 30 Techmarts at various levels during the past decade.
