Telemor, a subsidiary of the Vietnam Military Telecommunications Group (Viettel) in Timor-Leste won the Gold award in the 'Fastest Growing Company of the Year in Asia, Australia and New Zealand' category at the International Business Awards 2015 - the Stevie Awards for the strong growth rate of 280% year-on-year.

Established in Timor-Leste in 2013, Telemor currently has 450,000 customers, accounting for 45% of the total market segment, becoming the largest telecommunications company in Timor-Leste.

Last year, Telemor was also presented with the 'Startup of the Year' Award at the International Business Awards 2014 for recording profits after launching only six months before.

Viettel is now operating in 10 countries in Asia, Africa and the US with a total customer-base of 175 million including 75 million being Viettel's customers. 

The total revenue of Viettel from international business posted at US$1.2 billion in 2014 with more than 13 million subscribers.

The annual International Business Award - the Stevie Awards is the world's most prestigious award to honour the company's outstanding contributions and business performance. 

This year's awards saw the participation of over 10,000 enterprises and organisations from more than 50 countries and territories throughout the world.
