Description of the technology:The sensor does not only havecharacteristics (stabilityin working time, the distance of movementin concrete etc.) equivalent to that of imported ones but also even better. Specifically, the sensor’s outer sheathis made of materials with high hardness, which helps it become less worn out to contactconcrete better. The resonance frequency of the sensor is closer to excitation frequency of 54KHz, leading to faster response time and signal reception time than that of imported sensors. The successful manufacture of ultrasonic sensors used in concrete quality testing equipment has brought practical efficiency. It not only contributes to reducing price of the product(from 2,000 USD of foreign products to 200 USD of local ones) but also helps the users take advantage of flexible time to replace equipment. The above-mentioned product received incentive award in the 12^nd National Technology Innovation Competition (2012 -20013).
