The mud dredger for field ditch actually is renovated from the hand tiller powered by Honda engine. According to Mr. Tam, the machine mainly consists of gearbox, motor, dredge nozzle, driving rear wheel and multi-wheel .Recognizing that the capacity of Honda engine was too low (100 meters/hour) in an experiment, it was forced to replace with another one, thanks to which the machine works better. Mr. Tam’s mud dredging equipment is not bulky and easy to control. It is capable of dredging 25cm- to- 30cm- wide, 50cm-deep ditches. Depending on types of farmland, the machine can operate at capacity of 400-600m/hour/liter of diesel. It is 10 times more effective than human labor. Another advantage of the machine is its operating system. With its strong gravitation and improved five speed gearbox, Mr. Tam’s machine is able to wipe soil aside while running well over almost any terrain.
