The wind turbine generator with a 6-meter high body tower and a 3-blade fan, which later was improved to 4 blades won Youth Invention Award 2011 hold by Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. On the ground of his initial success, Mr. Thanh upgraded the turbine from a 4-blade one to a 10-blade pumpkin-shaped one. Remarkable features of which are to receive wind multi-dimensionally and to be able to generate electricity twice as much as before. This product was granted official standing and campaign medal by the Vietnam Intellectual Property Association (VIPA) and Invention and Intellectual Property Magazine. In August 2014, the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam certified intellectual property rights of the product and recognized it as reliable product, perfect service and the preferred brand in 2014.

To install wind turbine generator to serve daily household activities, according to Mr. Thanh, there should be a 6-meter high body tower with a 10-blade pumpkin-shaped fan, a turbine system, a rechargeable battery... After finishing, the machine operating by wind power can provide enough electricity in family activities such as lights, refrigerator, television... A total budget for a machine is about 15 million VND. This is a very useful product to have “clean” power, and people only invest in some initial costs. In remote areas, where there is no national electricity grid, in the future, will have light to use in daily life, especially in the context of increasingly fierce climate changes as today.

Currently, Mr. Thanh would like to start a company to produce this useful product to orders. However, the biggest difficulty facing him is the issue of production capital. According to Mr. Thanh, his pumpkin-shaped wind turbine generator is one of the thirty products of the country, which adapt to climate changes, to be under consideration for funding by the World Bank (WB). He hopes to lower costs to serve the people in the remote regions where the national grid has not reached yet when being financed by some capital to expand production.
