Regarding to this invention, the deck is made of stainless steel and has plate-shaped structure, which has the thickness from 1 mm to 5 mm in line with high or small capacity, with two layers: bottom and ground layers. Between them, there are several transverse and longitudinal bulkheads to make hardness for deck. More importantly, this structure helps to divide deck into many private empty and independent compartments. These compartments work as floats to support the whole body of a ship and prevent it from sinking in any cases.

The inventor makes calculations on the ground of Archimedes’ principle. For large-capacity vessels of 650 CV with 25 meters in length, 7 meters in width and empty floating deck structure with 0.5 meters in thickness, empty volume of the countersinking deck designed upon this invention can reach 87.5 cubic meters equivalent to the buoyancy as 87.5 tons. By this buoyancy, vessels applying this technology will not be sunk even the worst cases happen; for example, its whole body is flooded…

Besides, in accordance to design of the inventor, some empty compartments on the deck can be used to store clothes, food, water and some necessary goods serving needs of fishermen in each journey to the sea or accidents. Therefore, fishermen will have more chances and time to resist harsh conditions in the sea and it will help to save their lives and properties when awaiting rescue.

Thanks to the simplicity but creativity and effectiveness of technology, countersinking deck is possible to apply widely in several different kinds of vessels from fishing boat to transport or tourism, etc… which contributes to assuring safety, enhancing economic value for fishing industry and sea transport as well… not only in Vietnam but also other nations in the world.
