A closing and award ceremony of the national round of Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) World Championship took place in Hanoi on June 23.

Accordingly, the organizational board awarded six first, six second, six bronze and 36 consolation prizes for best contestants. The winners will become Vietnam's MOS Ambassadors in 2016 and participate in the final round of Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) World Championship in the United States on August 7- 10.

MOSWC is the largest office computing contest in the world which is held annually all over the globe by U.S.-based Certiport, a world leading provider of computer science certificates.

The Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship was launched for the first time in 2002 . The contest is a useful playground for students to learn and improve their skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint categories.

On the same day, Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA) granted top five and top gold medals of the 2016 Vietnam Information Technology and Telecommunication Awards for outstanding businesses.

Accordingly, 52 awards were granted for businesses listing in eight top groups and nine groups of gold medal.

Especially, this year’s awards also honored achievements of solution provision, best products, and services for foreign customers in Vietnam.
