In order to review the implementation of common and agreed standards for laboratories and inspection bodies, from May 09 to 13, 2016 in Hà Nội, Bureau of Accreditation (BoA) worked with the Delegation from Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) led by Ms. Georgette Macdonald (Standard Council of Canada, Canada).

According to the Cooperation agreement among members under APLAC, as a cycle of every 4 years, BoA is subjected to APLAC’s proficiency testing to review the implementation of policies on mutual recognition in the field of accrediting common and agreed standards for laboratories and inspection bodies.

During the 5 working days, the Delegation directly carried out tests in BoA on processes in Viet Nam Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (Vilas) and Viet Nam Inspection Accreditation Scheme (Vias) according to ISO 17011, participated in on-site assessments in Laboratories, Health laboratories and Inspection organizations as Technology Transfer Group, National Institute for Food Control, Testing department – International General Hospital Vinmec Times City, Center of Industrial Safety Registration Zone II, Water Laboratory - Vestergaard Frandsen Việt Nam Company Ltd.

BoA is a full member and signs the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with APLAC.
