On 24 November 2015, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) held a meeting to study, grasp thoroughly and implement the 12th Party Central Committee meeting resolution (term XI) among members of the VAST Party Central Committee, Secretaries of lower Party Executive Boards under the VAST Party Committee, members of the VAST Party Inspection Commission, and Party members who are heads or deputy heads of VAST departments in the northern branch. Nguyen Quang Liem, Standing Deputy Secretary of the VAST Party Committee, attended the event.

During the meeting, delegates heard Nguyen Quan Phu, head of the speakers’ department of the Party Central Committee Commission on Popularization and Education, introducing the basic contents of the 12th Party Central Committee meeting resolution (term XI), including the socio-economic situation and the State budget in 2015; the socio-economic development plan and the State budget estimate for 2016; the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 tenure; and the preparations for personnel work of the Party Central Committee term XII.
