The 2016 Hanoi Technology and Equipment Fair (Techmart Hanoi 2016) will be taking place at the Hanoi Museum from September 28 to October 1, with the participation of 390 groups, including 50 foreign enterprises.

The information was announced by Le Thi Khanh Van, Deputy Director of the National Agency for Science and Technology Information, at an introduction conference on the morning of July 15.

The annual event, co-organised by the Hanoi People’s Committee and the Ministry of Science and Technology, aims to develop the technology market and strengthen the association between research and training, and business and production.

It also seeks to honour Hanoi’s science and technology staff and boost research co-operation and technology transfers with other countries in the region and the world.

Under the theme “Connectivity for mutual integration and sustainable development”, Techmart Hanoi 2016 will focus on the fields of information technology, electronics, automatisation, mechanical engineering, and technologies for preservation and processing of farming products, among others.

The major activities of the fair include the showcasing of science and technology products, the signing of contracts and memorandums of understanding, consultation on science and technology, and presentations on new technologies and equipment.
