A wide variety of telecommunication, information, and communication products and service are being displayed at an international exhibition (Vietnam ICT COMM) which officially kicked off on July 20 in Hanoi.

The exhibition features nearly 200 pavilions of enterprises in Vietnam and from 15 countries and territories, including Vietnam, Japan, India and the Republic of Korea.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Phan Tam emphasised that the exhibition is the first event responding to the first year of implementing the National Telecommunication Development Plan until 2020 that was approved by the Prime Minister.

He also expressed his hope that displayed products, service and solutions at the exhibition would help serve the country’s socio-economic development.

The Vietnam ICT COMM is considered an important trade promotion activity as well as a forum to connect domestic and foreign enterprises and producers.

The event also offers an opportunity for policy makers and the business community to work together, contributing to improving the legal environment for sustainable development of the Vietnamese information and communication sector.

Through the exhibition, enterprises can share their experience in innovating and raising the efficiency of business management and IT application in trade activities, gradually replacing the old mode of business.

During the three-day festival, numerous seminars on trends of ICT development as well as orientations and policies set out by the government and management agencies will also be held. In addition, the event features workshops introducing 4G-LTE technology, high-speed internet access, large data sets, IT solutions to support e-government and enterprises, security solutions for hardware and software, digital content services and digital TV-radio.
