Slag discharge system of coal-fired CFB boiler

This is a product of the project "Research into designing and manufacturing a system for discharging ash and slag from coal-fired circulating fluidised bed (CFB) boiler with the yield from 12 to 15 tons/hour", code KC03.31/11-15, implemented by M.S. Hoang Trung Kien, National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Through the implementation of the project, scientists have mastered the design and technology, successfully fabricated the slag discharge system of coal-fired CFB boilerfor thermal power plants. The system consists of two main components with the following specifications:

1) Combination of cooler: capacity of 5-6 tons/hour; input water temperature: 30-35°C; input air temperature at: 27-30°C; input slag temperature: 600-850°C; output slag temperature: 80-100°C; power of main engine: 7.5 kW; dust levels around the cooler: 250 mg/Nm3; thermal stability of the slag load off: heat resistance up to 850°C.

2) Equipment for transporting slag (hot slag conveyor) B680x20 m: capacity of 55 tons/hour; scratch velocity: 1.5 m/s; dust levels around the cooler: 250 mg/Nm3; thermal stability of the slag scrapers: heat resistance up to 200°C.

The system has been applied successfully in Cam Pha Thermal Power Plant and Na Duong Thermal Power Plant.
