Continuous Fermenter of Black Tea OTD

Recently, the fermentation in the production of black tea OTD has been interruptedly done on plastic trays and as a result, the product quality and labor productivity would have not been high. Solving this problem, scientists from Ngoc Thinh Technology Development and Investment Joint Stock Company have successfully studied and manufactured the continuous fermenter of black tea OTD.

This equipment belongs to the project “Improving technology for continuous fermenter of black tea OTD with the capacity of 16 tons of tea buds per day” (code KC07.DA08/11-15); the equipment has the fermentation time within 60-150 minutes, the airflow into the equipment of 12.000 m3per hour, the temperature and humidity of fermented tea as 25-27oC and 95-98% respectively. The equipment is domestically produced; therefore, the price is only 70% compared with the same type of imported products, this helps to enhance productivity, quality and economic efficiency for factories producing black tea OTD.
