Scientists from the University of Engineering and Technology (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) who have studied and manufactured the signal generator for air traffic control codes have recently been granted the patent for utility solution by theOffice of Intellectual Property of Vietnam. The product with the application purpose is to manage airborne targets; however, it can also be used to manage ground or sea targets.

This product can become a ground satellite transceiver station, which broadcasts the rescue, salvage signals of ships at sea. This product with its core technology allows manufacturing of the portable radar which is able to alert and detect raid targets by means of low-level or moving targets on the ground in order to strengthen national defense - security in the border areas, forests and complex terrain.

The quality of the signal generator for air traffic control codes is equivalent to the imported equipment while its price is only one third. But above all, according to Assoc. Prof., Dr. Bach Gia Duong - Team leader, the research team has mastered the core technologies and thereby continues developing equipment in the field of ultra-high frequency that Vietnam have long since depended on foreign countries such as: equipment for television relay, high-security information switcher;satellite transceiver systems, search receiver, location scout of the VINASAT satellite for terrestrial stations. Therefore, Vietnam will be fully active in the repair, maintenance or replacement.
