Scientists from Hanoi University of Industry have successfully researched, designed and manufactured an egg hatching machine using solar energy that is applied for household and farm scales.

Operation principle: Solar energy generates electricity power which supplies heat. Temperature and moisture sensors are installed inside hatching room to maintain temperature between 37.5-38oC with the error <0.2oC, moisture between 40-90%. Egg turning system is operated by electromechanical engine, and electricity storage system can maintain continuously the machine operation within 10 hours (in case of power cut). This is a completely automatic equipment with capacity 1000 eggs/batch.

This machine which has been installed at Thanh Van Commune (Tam Duong, Vinh Phuc Province) operates well, has more advantages than traditional hatching machines, and is suitable for household scale.
