This is a product of the state-level project "Research into building a toolkit to support decision making in flood risk management for river basins in the Central Vietnam", code KC08.19/11-15.

The toolkit uses a lot of computational models such as hydrologic modelling system (HEC-HMS), reservoir operation model, dam-break model MIKE 11, flood plain modelling MIKE 21, MIKE FLOOD... allowing the building and complete assessment on the impact of social and economic development planning solutions (upstream planning, downstream urbanization planning), reservoir operation solutions for downstream flood relief, or single and uninterrupted dam break of ladder hydropower reservoirs at the upstream, or flood happenings at the plains of basins. The analysis results will help operators, managers, local leaders make necessary choices/solutions to prevent and mitigate the adverse effects of disasters. The toolkit and its manual has been posted on the internet under the domain name quanlylu-vgbt.com.
