Cancer diagnostic device based on magneto-biological link
3:29 CH,10/08/2016

A cancer diagnostic device based on a new operating principle has been researched, manufactured successfully by scientists at University of Science and Technology, The University of Danang. In the diagnostic methods currently used, specific links occurring between cancer antigens and measurement agents as light emitting elements to determine the concentration of disease antigens through the obtained corresponding color spectrum. And the new device uses measurement agent as magnetic nanoparticles, whose magnetic induction measurements upon specific links with antigens helps to determine the concentration of antigens.

The device has the following specifications: test measuring range: 5-10 mg/ml; operating temperature: 15-40oC; measuring time: 1-3 minutes; sample size: 2-10 µl; power consumption: 150 W; power supply: 220 V - 50 Hz; and software: CanDec-15. It works based on a system control and signal processing software built on LabVIEW, and can connect to the network or work independently.
