Recently, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued a decision on recognising the acacia hybrid AH7 as a national variety. This variety is bred and selected by scientists from the Vietnam Academy for Forest Sciences.

AH7 is a natural hybrid acacia variety capable of rapid growth, straight trunk, few branches, good disease resistance, average yield of more than 40 m3/ha/year (density of 1,660 trees/ha). Acacia hybrid AH7 has been grown successfully in Binh Duong, Dong Nai and places with similar ecological conditions.
