The product is the result of the state-level science and technology project "Research into applying robots for welding lines in car factories", under the Program on Application and Development of Mechanical Technology and Automation (Code: KC03/11-15).

Through the implementation of the project, scientists at the University of Da Nang and engineers of Truong Hai Auto Corporation have succeeded in researching and fabricating the robot for welding line of dump truck floor in automobile production factories. This is the first time a welding system for truck floor using automatic robot was designed and manufactured domestically. Through the operation, the results showed a stable operation of the system, ensuring the yield 4 products per hour; the weld quality was accredited and approved by Quality Assurance and Testing Center 2 - QUATEST 2 (Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality, Ministry of Science and Technology).
