Through implementing a ministerial scientific research project, Dr. Hoang Duc Tuan and his colleagues at the Faculty of Electrical - Electronics Engineering (Vietnam Maritime University) have studied and fabricated successfully the system for automatically adjusting the tension of winding winches for ships. The system uses PLC controller and is monitored on HMI touch screen.

Test results have showed that the system entirely meets the requirements for automatically adjusting the cable tension of winding winches for ships. The system has reliable operation and has been assessed and appraised the quality criteria by competent authorities.
