The environment police penalized two Chinese traditional medical clinics at 141 Phan Dang Luu Street in Phu Nhuan District and at   1503 Ba Thang Hai Street in District 11, for not recycling dangerous toxic waste and for not having proper facilities for storing the waste.
Moreover, their environment protection project has also still not been approved.

Accordingly, the environment police fined the two clinics VND270 million (US$135) and asked them to draw up a report on their environment protection plans and strictly abide by regulations.

On the same day, the Department of Health discovered violations by a Chinese clinic at 762 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street in Tan Binh District.

The clinic is licensed as a traditional medicine clinic but it has advertised for services of a general hospital.

Moreover, the clinic said it has temporarily stopped operations for repair works, but still continues to function and receive patients.

Health authorities found that the two above Chinese clinics claimed to have no Chinese medics but there were Chinese doctors working in the clinic. Therefore, health inspectors decided to transfer the case to investigation police for further probe. The health watchdog announced that it will revoke license of the clinics under the law.
