The two Japanese milk products, Morinaga and Wakodo, have been certified by Vietnam Food Administration (VFA). Wakodo has been certified for new born babies up to one year of age and Morinaga has been certified for children from nine months to three years.
But according to VFA, the country has not as yet regulated specifications of iodine content in baby formula.
Related agencies are building up regulations to standardize content in accordance with Codex Commission.
