Plan of National Energy Efficiency Programme (VNEEP) for year 2013 in the area is to help using energy properly, reducing energy consumption and energy cost for transport and equipment operations while maintaining necessary demand for household, services, production under regulations of Hanoi People’s Committee.
The city will synchronize all the activities of the program to create a breakthrough in improving energy efficiency, focus on industrial production; high power-consuming construction; transportation; services and household; high-efficiency equipment and energy-saving techniques introduction.
Enterprises in industrial zones, craft villages are provided high-tech facilities and high-energy efficiency technologies. Technological solutions to save energy in public lighting will be applied continuously and application of new ones in transportation will be boosted.
In addition, the city will continue its advertising campaigns of power-saving lights, lights using renewable resources, solar water heaters, biomass/biogas and other energy-saving products.
The piloting model of using renewable energies in household-scale will also be developed, while the energy-saving movements in families will be launched, focusing on practical skills at selecting and using power-saving household equipment and energy-labeled products.
Along with that, energy-managing staff from key energy-consuming facilities will be trained and awarded energy-management certificates.
