Police in Hanoi have decided to investigate those involved in a case of forgery at Hoai Duc General Hospital and issue harsh penalties to the offenders as per the law, said Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung, Chief of Anti-economic and administrative crimes Investigation police unit on August 7.
Earlier, Hoang Thi Nguyet, an employee of the hospital, had sent a letter to authorities denouncing some employees at the Testing Division of the hospital with faking test results of outpatients.
In that she mentioned that even though the patients submitted blood samples for testing, no tests were actually conducted on proper machines, but instead the same results were printed for many patients.
On the same day, the Ministry of Health sent an urgent dispatch ordering the Health Examination and Treatment Management Department and the Department of Health in Hanoi to conduct a thorough investigation into the case, with both departments coordinating with the police to verify related information.
