According to assessment by the Municipal Electricity Authority, the drive has enhanced the City’s residents’ awareness and formed their habits of saving electricity.

According to the HCMC Center for Energy Efficiency, if a household reduced its consumption of 1 kWh of electricity a day, the City would save 620.5 million KWh of electricity a year, equivalent to 770.6 billion VND. There are about 2 million households in the City.

In another move, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation announced that there would be no power cuts (except those for grid repairs, trimming tree branches away, incidents...) in June.
"In May, the average power consumption of the City was 45.3 million kWh a day. We will not cut off power in June to comply with the direction by the Ministry of Industry and Trade," said Nguyen Anh Vu, Head of Public Relations Board, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation.
