Topic: New technological solutions in medicine to help treat diabetes by medicinal plant types.

 Currently, there are an increasing  about number and variety medicines in treating diabetes with the aim to control the blood glucose concentration, prevent and adjust disorders of lipid metabolism and activities of the free radicals to control blood glucose levels, and prevent complications by limiting pathology induced hyperglycaemia.

 The experts from the World Health Organization have recommended that the development and manufacture of diabetes medications which have herbal origin because the natural medicinal resources are abundant, easy to use, low price and be  acceptable in the community especially for developing countries.

 In the past two decades, the authors from Japan, Korea, China, India and Vietnam have recently studied that mulberry leaf, mulberry root tending to lower blood glucose and antioxidant. Limited effect of hyperlipidemia has also been mentioned, but it is not interested in research.

 Therefore, the new technology solutions in medicine science help to treat diabetes with necessary drug materials.

 According to the authors’ studies in domestic and abroad, powder that is extracted from the leaves and roots of strawberry plants are able to treat diseases such as diabetes, syndrome, increased blood lipids, because  this powder contains the active ingredients l-deoxynojirimycin, agents are likely to inhibiting the enzyme-glucosidaza and many compounds have different therapeutic effects

 The useful method of mulberry leaf extract includes some steps:

- To extract leaf and root of  mulberry that was dried and milled in ethanol;

- To filter the extract liquor, then distill this liquor for obtaining ethanol andextract recovery characteristics;

- Extract special treatment with n-hexane, then vacuum at low temperature to dry extract powder recovered.

 The difference of this method in comparing with the used method is the extraction which being  done 03 times with the rate of ethanol / dry mulberry leaf quality

 Thus, the total using amount of ethanol was reduced by 40% compared with the known methods; the retrieval productivity is 16.5% higher than the known methods.

 Implant technology process is simple and are able to be applied in pharmaceutical factories.

 This is a technical solution which is capable of practical application because shrubbery planted all over the place in our country to feed silkworms. Leaves, roots and other parts of the mulberry tree have been used for a long time as an abundant, inexpensive and non-toxic medicines source.
