Topic: New technology solutions to support the provision of effective communication for ships on the sea

Vietnam is a country with a long coastline where copes with lots of annual hurricances, tropical depression with increasing intensity and complicated. Vietnam fishermen’s boasts which goes offshore fishing is mainly small, wood chips, low power machine; therefore, their resistantant are less to winds and waves. Equipments which provide for maritime, mining and maritime safety of the vessel are less due to those costs are high and especially the use of multiple media types is difficult 

Therefore, the system is equipped with modern communication for fishermen which not only helps authorities to manage and support them be better but also brings real benefits for them, at least in salvage and rescue and provide fisheries’ information about the production process in the sea.

 Receiver lookouts or also known as information dedicated receiver of disaster forecast which ues for the fishing boats is a multi-function designed in accordance with the actual fishing operations in Vietnam, the Vietnam fishermen’s level and require the use of the marine environment.

 Dedicated receiver which having a main function is to direct automatic watch 24/24 on the shortwave bands with single-sideband modulation method SSB (using the marginal frequencies - USB), collect weather information and other specialized news is broadcasted from the radio station has been built along the coast of Vietnam in the broadcasting system of Electronics and Information company maritime Vietnam.In addition,  dedicated receiver also has a functions as a radio AM / FM ordinary which help the  fishermen  to listen to news, music and other information over the airwaves of Radio Voice Vietnam and local stations in the coverage area of the station.

 This is a system which researches and combines lot of features and solutions to create the system that has ever applied the model of the subject in the world.  Besides there is no organization in domestic having the equivalent system application research. 

 The useful product helps the working labors are on the marine having effective weather information equipment. Especially in the process of working on the sea or at bedtime, the system will be automatically communicated to the fishermen about  the weather, the wind storm ... a timely manner so that they can actively prevent, mitigate risk and accidents when a disaster occurs
