In first six months of the year, Vietnam reported 27 deaths by food poisoning, said Vietnam Food Administration at press conference on June 16 in Hanoi.
There is an increase in cases of food poisoning across the country.
People still breach food safety in the country. By June, 2014, the country reports 67 cases of food poisoning with 2,084 victims. Of them, 1,520 people had been hospitalized and 24 fatalities. Twelve people died by mistakenly eating poisonous mushrooms.
