Wildlife crime report smartphone application unveils
3:09 CH,08/08/2014

The Education for Nature Vietnam (ENV) has launched a new smartphone application called “ENV-SOS Wildlife”. The application helps people to report wildlife crime easily, quickly and precisely.
Developed by ENV and an American software expert James Campell, the app is easy to use. For example, if a person finds a gibbon, he or she can use their smartphone to take photos of the gibbon, give some description on the violation case and press “send report” button. All information, photos and location of the case will be navigated by GPS and sent immediately to the Wildlife Crime Unit of ENV.  Later, ENV informs competent local authorities about the case with precise information and location, enabling them to respond quickly and effectively.
At present, the app can be downloaded on smartphones using Android and will be available for IOS and Window Phone devices in the future.
