In the world today there are about 783 million unused electricity and clean water. However, this problem may soon be resolved in the future thanks to her invention of a Vietnamese Australian 17-year-old Russian named Cynthia Sin Lam. Lam invented a water purification device has, at the same time generate electricity called H2Pro. This device has helped Lam shortlisted finalists 15 young inventors at science fair Google.

H2Pro is a mobile machine consists of two parts: water purification and power generation components. Contaminated water is passed through filters to remove titanium center and remove harmful contaminants. Then, the water molecules will be involved photocatalytic reaction to remove hydrogen. The amount of hydrogen obtained passes through the fuel cell at the top to produce electricity.

According to Lam, water contamination of organic impurities will produce more electricity.

Meanwhile, H2Pro can purify up to 90% organic matter in the water in just 2 hours.

Advantages of H2Pro not need power to maintain operations. This device fully uses sunlight to stimulate the photochemical reaction. In addition, the raw material for the production of this device fairly inexpensive. Therefore, it is perfectly suited for use in remote areas, remote areas, where lack of clean water and electricity sources.

H2Pro be evaluated as a potential devices in the future. However, before the equipment is put into practical use, still need to go through a lot of research and innovation.
