The solar energy company Savo company based in Mikkeli, said the new type of solar cells have two major technical innovations.
The solar cell uses 3-level nano coating of 100nm thick, which acts to reduce the power loss due to the sun reflection.
In addition, they are also used "direct current technique", which means the water will directly circulate inside the heat plate and not circulate inside the pipes of the heat plate, thereby improve the energy conversion’s efficiency.
Savo said during the performance test, this new type of solar cell can still operate normally in temperatures of below 3000 C while the existing products can usually withstand the temperature of 2200 C.
According to the news, the next research objective of the company is to enhance the performance in high temperature conditions for the new products up to 5500 C.
The company also plans to bring this product to the solar energy exhibition in Munich (Germany) this June and will officially go under mass production at the end of this year.
